Some have asked me to draw Shadic in his Super Form, since he never appeared in the movie. I've always wanted to do this, so look at him here!

I may draw normal Shadic one day, and some "screen shots" of what-if sequel to Nazo Unleashed. Those will probably be far between, because like I have said, I want to display more original, non-Sonic stuff.

Which brings me to the second part of this post: Sonic Fan Characters. When I was younger, I think a drew a couple of pictures of what-if Sonic characters, just for the hell of it. Now, I am seeing people create complete back stories, move sets, and relation ships. They either take one character and just recolor them, give them clothes, etc, or make there own hedgehog design. This is a pet peeve of mine.

Now my "Nazo" series may seem to contradict this, but let me explain. Nazo was not completely designed by me; I took an unknown image and wanted to base a movie on what I thought it would be. I purposely had no character development so I wouldn't distort the Sonic continuity too much (such as 'permanent' fan characters, bizarre couples, etc). When you have a temporary villain, it's different from creating a sibling of Sonic or some other kind of permanent ally. Nazo was just another adventure for Sonic to take on through my creativity.

I see nothing wrong wondering "I wonder what would happen if Sonic had a brother?" or "I wonder if this happened to ______ and ______?", but I've seen people have a strong passion for their characters. While I am proud of the way I portrayed Nazo, I don't necessarily have a passion for him.

I am also not saying "Don't make fake Sonic characters!!"I'm saying don't base your all your time passion, and creativity on one. For example, a kid might tell me about his Sonic fan character "Spike the Hedgehog". The kid says he has a Super form, hyper form, light form, dark form, and mega form, and travels in to the past to hang with Sonic. This kid loves his character!

But this, to me, is annoying. When people love their characters so much that they must tell me/other people about it, why not just make a completely new character? No hedgehog, just your own imagination. Forget about Chaos Emeralds, anthropomorphic hedgehogs, and the whole Sonic universe. If you want to dedicate your ideas/talents to Sonic, but want to make a character that is so radically different from the Sonic universe, then I suggest make your own.

Then again, this is just my opinion. If you like making Sonic fan characters, go ahead, but if you are going to go as far as to PM me your idea of a character (AND even ask me to draw/animate them)just for the sake of someone hearing it, then just consider applying your creativity to something more original.

There is a difference between a hypothetical situation and distortion.

Im mostly looking forward to anything non-sonic that you do. You made something far better than anything that was previously in existence in the sonic and (Dragon ball z)-esque styles. I am a fan of DBZ way more than Sonic and you captured the feel of the DBZ influence.

in any case you can emulate situations accurately and make decent animation. with that and enough time you can apply that to anything and make some good stuff. Keep at it.

Well I just took the obvious combination of "Hyper Sonic" and "Hyper Shadow", their strongest forms, and combined it unto one. When you combine the names "Sonic" and "Shadow," you either get "Sonadow" or "Shadic". I really did not like the first one, so I went with Shadic.

Me, and many others, have always wondered if Sonic and Shadow fused together.

I just combined the features of Sonic and Shadow: literally, combining their spikes. I didn't really "get it" from any where. I just thought of it by drawing different designs.

Thanks for your interest! But I don' have a solid story up. And I know from experience that I always work better alone, because then you need to check things with your partner and I can't work at the pace that I want or do every thing I want.

Hmm..It depends.

This hedgehog seems like a villain. Like a one-time use character, that can form an original adventure for Sonic and Shadow.

If you REALLY like this idea and plan for "Dark" to eventually lose, then I say go for it. I just don't like it when people try to make "permanent" fan characters.

You know, I agree with you about that. Even though my own fan-character is more of a perement one, with quite a few forms, it's a completly origanal one - although some of the things that he can do are based on what other cannon characters can do. And besides, fan characters are based in a non-cannon universe close to Sonic's - but not the same one.

My fan character's not a hedgehog - he's a human. Yes, he sometimes uses the Chaos Emeralds and the Master Emerald, but he dosn't need them most of the time. And, to be honest, he didn't come from Sonic's universe - a Chaos Distortion (Like the massive Chaos Controal at the start of Sonic X) brought him here.

Of cource, I'm not a good artist, so I wouldn't be able to draw him myself. And besides, I don't ask, I sujest. That means the person dosn't have to do it if he or she dosn't want to.

And, on another note, Shadic ISN'T a fan-character, it's what happens when Sonic and Shadow uses eather Chaos Unifacation or Chaos Fusion. Nazo, on the other hand, was going to be one of Sonic's Super forms in Sonic X, but, as you may know, they used a not-quite-origanal yellow Super from, opposed to the blue Super form that is now Nazo.

You know, I really like your flash submissions, Chakra-X. Have you ever thought about becoming an aminator? One of my friends also wants to become one. I hope that when he is able to see your work, he is inspired as to how he can aminating. Heck, if you two managed to get on well when you meet, it could turn out to be great for both of you!

Hey this is one of your many fans, i've a sonic story my own but it olny involves one fan character from deviant art and shes a minor character but other than that thtas the olny fan created thing in there other than Dark sonic (like what you did olny its two different beings) anyway this started out as just a measly sprite comic idea but as i started to write the script it sorta exploded into a full movie so i was wondering should i animate with sprites...or get an actual 3d animator like they used in "Sonic R" or "Sonic the fighters" heres why i'm leaning twords sprites i have many i can use and sounds and music but it has a more than sprite feel ...anyway if you need more info on the story then let me know....oh and anbout your super shadic on deviant art i think that when he transforms the aura should be there but when he fights it should be gone

Have you ever heard of IRAgination? There's this guy, Ivan Rodriguez Asqui (IRA) who made these full length Megaman comics featuring a dramatized version of Fireman's story and a couple of really long MMX comics featuring and sometimes starring fan characters that he made, such as Delia and Necro, who are both ingenious.

I like fan characters, personally, but I don't like it when they overshadow the main characters. I used to have a MMX fan character, but I eventually turned her into a regular character and gave her her own series and everything.

Now, for villians, it's a different story. Bad guys like Nazo are usually supposed to be superpowerful and are beaten by some sort of miracle or fluke. I'm currently working on a Sonic fan fiction called "Sonic the Hedgehog VS Galactus" which pretty much follows the same criteria. This is also where fan transformations come in. It's not much different from your idea of Shadic, only it pushes the DBZ influence just a smidge further. I'm working on getting Director MX so I can hopefully make a flash movie version of it. I took Multimedia class in my school and I got pretty good at making sprite movies. Though I don't think I'll ever be able to be as good as you, Chakra X. I mean, your Nazo Unleashed miniseries was as close as any of us are going to get to making a flash movie of perfect anime quality.

And as for the last five seconds of Nazo unleashed pt 3, I'm thinking somebody should make a comic of... METAL nazo, just to keep the DBZ influence alive. You know, like Meta cooler, or something like that. Brilliant! lol.

Anyway, keep on rockin the rockin. I'd love to see original work from you. I mean, if you can make something this cool from using Sonic, there's no telling what you could do all on your own. Doesn't even have to be flash either.

By the by, I believe I asked this before but I didn't get an answer. What's the backstory on casting the voice for Nazo. I mean, where did you find that guy? He rocked!

Nice, I'm glad you see where I'm coming from. Though if I did make another Nazo movie, it WOULD have "Metal Nazo". Not because of a DBZ references, but a Sonic references (Eggman made a Metal Sonic, so why no Metal Nazo?)

As for Omahdon, I remember looking at a list of VAs and listening to their voice demos. I listened to Omahdon's and I was like "He sounds so professional and anime-like". Originally, I was just going to use Espio's voices for Nazo's lines (which would have made the movie suck SO much). So I had him try different types of voices, chose the one I want and gave him some lines and that was the voice of Nazo.

chakra-x, i made my own fan character but i can draw sonic characters just as good as i play basketball. and no art class can teach me either. i have his design all figured out but i just cant draw. i call him diamond the hedgehog. he was born from the POSITIVE energy in the emeralds. i wrote a fanfic including him. and i may never project his image on paper. well, i'd like to know if there is a real easy way to draw sonic characters. ok to the to the second part of this when i get flash me and my best friend are going to do a series with sonic and co. along with some fan characters and villains
the villains are temporary but the fan characters stay with them (violet,rio,ki and finix) for a year or two but rio (violets yonger 7 year old brother) who is older and act like sonic wants to find his own adventure after biding farwell they
lave soinc and co. who have grown a bond with them

Well I didn't like the old color "green", black wouldn't do, so I thought "red", but I shaded it so he would not resemble Knuckles. Regular Nazo has relatively colorful shoes, so I made Perfect Nazo "mature" with dark boots.

His design was made so he would look more fierce with longer spikes and sharper eyes. The yellow part of his eyes was to make him more demonic. The side spikes are made that way because that's what Perfect Chaos has, and since Perfect Nazo is pure negative chaos energy, I gave him that feature for continuity, and so he wouldn't look bland.

The golden cuffs were a symbol of his transcended state, which is why they changed colors when he absorbed the Super Emerald negative energy.

While I respect your right to your opinion, I disagree about it. FanFiction has a good, solid base (except in the instance of Mario. Blagh) to work on. Besides, making your own little universe is annoying. When I was a kid, I worked on that and found it quite annoying. And besides, since they never used Nazo so as to tell about whether or not he was evil, you are a hyppocrite. And I will use originality in my upcoming (I.E, sometime in the next 2 years.
